Awo Sarpong Ansu has written an article that describes
a book that made African literary history, Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achele. She captured the excitement in the conference room at the Washington Post that Mr. Achele generates. Her description of the novel and the aura around the author has prompted me to go out and purchase this 50 year old book. It made me realize that I had never read anything by a black African and I wanted to see his perspective of the changes in Africa caused by the appearance of white men. I am grateful to Ms. Awo for her well-written and creative book review.
