March Madness Hits Jamati.com!

ceoatschool1.jpg

Pictured: Jerrod Mustaf, Former NBA Star & Gambian Goodwill Ambassador at his school

In the spirit of NCAA Basketball and “March Madness,” Jamati.com gears up for a slam-dunk with the latest March issue. Assembling a stellar league of players from all entertainment arenas, readers will find features, interviews and spotlight stories from the areas of Sports, Literature, Film, Style and more.

It was “all net” when an exclusive interview with NBA Star Jerrod Mustaf, formerly of the New York Knicks and Phoenix Suns hit “our court.” Mustaf is a North Carolina Native with a big heart, giving back to a number of organizations. He is well versed in African Relations and serves as Goodwill Sports Ambassador for the Republic of Gambia, Consultant for Nigerian Basketball League, President of African Tourism Organization and is the Founder/President of the Street Basketball Association to name a few.

Next up, is an interview with Actor Van Vicker, who has carved a niche starring in an array of films coming out of the Ghana Film Industry. Van Vicker is of Liberian-Ghanaian and Dutch Descent and is generally cast as a romantic lead to a bevy of starlets, which has generated a cult following for him across the Diaspora. Van Vicker is best known for starring roles in the “Beyonce Movie Series,” which include “President’s Daughter,” “The Return of Beyonce,” “Mummy’s Daughter” and “Divine Love.” With the success of Van Vicker and others, the Ghanaian Film Industry is seen as strong competition for Nigeria’s Nollywood - with some wondering if Gollywood is next.

Other “first round pick” articles for the March Issue include Chris Abani in Books, an interview with songstress Suzanna Lubrano on her latest album and a look at how Street ball talent is rivaling the NBA.
